Founder Story
After 20 years working across fashion and the creative industries, Michael O’Gorman kept seeing the same problem: talented people struggling to get seen.
In 2019, he co-founded The Rubicon London, a creative co-working space designed to bring talent together. Quickly the studio became a neighbourhood hub for collaboration, but the unique project would be difficult to replicate and scale.
So in 2021, he started Assisting Work, an Instagram page sharing work opportunities. It quickly grew into a global community of over 145,000 creatives. Resharing over 35,000 jobs and helped thousands find paid work. It made one thing very clear: the opportunities exist, the talent absolutely exists, but the systems are out dated.
Indstry is the next step, a platform built for today’s world. Design-first, made for people who work visually, and created to make it easier to be seen, get hired, and find your people.
And now, with a brilliant team behind it, the mission is clear and we’re only just getting started.
